Gajendra Singh lives a wealthy lifestyle in a village in India. He has never attended school and as a result does not know how to read or write in Hindi nor English. His marriage is arranged with equally wealthy Janki, the sister of Thakur Diwan and Ranjit Singh. On Hanuman Jayanti they get married but Janki is not happy and decides to leave her husband. Gajendra searches for her but when he hears that she is dead, decides to seal the Hanuman Mandir doors and remain single.

Gita tries to reunite with her father while he awaits the return of his younger daughter, from America. Will everyone reunite?

The film is based closely on the life of the real-life Dada Thakur, and was made in his lifetime. Dada Thakur (Chhabi Biswas) starts his career with a hand-operated press, with his wife as his assistant. Later he is joined by Nalini Kanta Sarkar, an underground freedom-fighter.

The journey of a Punjabi Sikh boy who grew up during the chaotic, violent 1980s revolving around his chase for survival, equality and justice in order to protect and shield society and fight against brutality, crime and corruption.

The story revolves around an easy, happy go lucky girl Needhi Singh (Kulraj Randhawa), until a day that will change her life, forever. She becomes a rebel.
